As we have trained our After school staff the techniques of WBT I find it so powerful at the schools where the regular school day has embraced WBT as effective teaching practices. As I go to both watch and model WBT with our After School staff, it is so much more powerful when the students have had the technique used during the regular day. I would guess half of the 19 schools we serve in the After School program use the program to some degree during the regular day. I encourage regular school day to consider WBT as a tool for their teachers. I have had regular school day teachers stop and watch our classified After School Staff use whole brain teaching with their regular students and stare in astonishment at the student they see for 7 hours a day be a totally engaged and active learning in the After School Program!!
