I'm an elementary school teacher who has been teaching for 19years in Suwon, Korea.
I learned Power Teaching last year while I was taking my TESOL courses.
One of my trainers introduced video clips about Power Teaching. It was a new experience for me and I had confidence it would be effective for my classes. So I accepted the five rules and adopted some classroom management procedures like having a rewards system in my class.
To some degree it helps my students motivation and helps in controling my class.
Unfortunately, I was not positive, and I didn't know the Power Teaching in detail. So I wished to learn Power Teaching more.
Now I have a chance to learn Power Teaching. Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education have a special plan to improve teachers' competence in teaching.
They are going to support teachers who want to research their teaching method by having an idea contest. I entered the contest with a Power Teaching Project and it was selected from the contest.
I'll be on sabbatical this year and I'm going to visit California. I want to observe some classes and attend some conferences.
I hope this is really good appotunity to learn WBT.
