Hey there everybody. I made three WBT videos of how I use WBT in the classroom. I'm the only one in my school, and any of the schools in the whole city of Emmett I'm guessing that uses WBT. And do you think I'll tell others about this method? Nope, not a single person here. Nobody would be interested in it - it would be too far out to be tried by anybody else. They wouldn't understand it. And I started using it because I was tired of the students not being able to repeat anything I taught for 10 min. So one day, in the middle of a lang. arts lesson, I switched to WBT. I had to take up half a math class to introduce it to them, and half of the lang. arts time to introduce it to them.. but it was worth it. I get 100% of student participation this time, instead of 30%.

Without further ado, here is me using it:

in math class: www.schooltube.com/video/48493/Whole-Bra...yday-Math-curriculum

WOW! Your videos shows students engaged and learning. I have some gestures for the rock types:

igneous: both hands together starting at the chest and pushing up and apart towards the sky like a volcano eruption, while saying "igneous rocks means fire rocks"

sedimentary: palms flat and parallel to the ground, one on top of the other, starting at the chest and layering hands one over the other while saying "sedimentary rocks are layered rocks"

metamorphic rocks: take one hand make it into a fist and wrap the other hand around it and squeeze while saying "metamorphic rock means changed rock"

Keep doing what you are doing and people will start asking YOU about WBT. Your results will prove it works!

Thank you for sharing the video of your WBT. I enjoyed seeing how engaged your students are and how much fun they had learning and teaching. Your students were so excited with the hands-on rock study-I really enjoyed seeing that! It just proves how much more fun (and effective) learning is when the students are engaged and using their whole brain to learn.
