Hey there fellow WBTers!

Hope your years are going amazing! Just wanted to share this piece of Teacher Heaven with you...

Many of you have asked what do you do with students who come in after you have already taught all the basics (the big seven) and your class is rocking and rolling...

Well today I had a new student start with me from another kindergarten room who doesn't use the WBT method! I introduced her to the class...we all said hello...and then we just went about our normal schedule and teaching! Yep that is right...I never set the expectation that "she didn't know what we were doing therefore she would struggle at first but she could do it." Nope I just acted as though she already knew what we were doing and expected her to jump in! Amazing it was!! (in the voice of Yoda). She never missed a beat...even when we did Teach/Ok. I was amazed! So my advice stays the same...bring them in...set the expectation that they already know it...and watch your "leaders" in the class get them up to speed so fast!!!

Wow, ten finger wooo and fireworks and all that jazz! Your video on face book is awesome. I need to really get up to speed, I wait too long and don't move at the pace you do. After today I see why I am loosing my first and kinders (not to mention my mind) with trying to correct the things that aren't working.

Great video!! It is hard to believe these kids are Kindergarteners!! Wow - they are so awesome! Super Oh Yeah with lightning speed and a triple twist at the end!!

Thank you guys!!! They are awesome...not me LOL! They love performing....and I think it is amazing to see kids genuinely striving to PLEASE me and KEEP ME HAPPY!!! LOL! They really do an awesome job!!! They hate to see me "cry"! LOL! Yes I have had those "your dear teacher isn't happy" moments where they made me "cry"! LOL! But that is this class...last years class would have thought I was just a big baby! LOL! No obviously I don't really cry but you know when your kids are babies and you "pretend" to cry! Very over dramatic...sillyness!!! It is so funny to see them "straighten up" when Mrs. Shipley starts to frown! LOL! Oh and the book "Mrs. Nelson is Missing" Oh they so don't want Ms. Viola Swamp to visit our classroom! LOL!

I really do have a group of tender-hearted kinders that care about each other...one big happy family! They call me at home sometimes...with mom's permission of course...to tell me they were playing and got hurt or something...oh the stories I have from this year...it's cute!
