.Finally I have 2 teachers who are starting WBT in my first grade team . Having "buddies is great"....they have lots of questions hope i can live up to proper mentoring. Have them starting with the big 7. Tell me any hints if you can!!!!

I have another teacher that started this year in my grade level. It has been awesome! I especially love communicating about various gestures and getting someone else's perspective. I also have 2 teachers in the grade level below that have just started. It is so exciting to be having similar experiences and similar goals with our classes this year. It is fun to have a few others join you for coffee in teacher heaven!! : )

It is amazing watching other come to WBT. This year we have a lot more teachers using WBT in our district. It started out three years ago with just a couple teachers using it. Then we added a few more that saw the benefits of WBT. Last year a few more began to use it. Then this summer we had 14 that went to West Plains for the Mid-West Confenernce. Now we have two elementary buildings that are mainly teaching with WBT and several teachers in the other elementary buildings using it. It is my hope that all the elementtary buildings (we have 6) will soon be completely WBT schools. That's the goal!!!

Welcome to your fellow teachers Annette! You'll be a great WBT mentor! I have to agree with how exciting it is to see others enjoying the benefits of WBT in their classrooms. I teach in the same district with Susan and we had the pleasure of presenting WBT to the new teachers in our district. Several if not all of the new teachers to the district are implementing at least some aspect of WBT in their classrooms! It's so fun to walk around and look in the different classrooms in our building and see and hear teachers using WBT in their classrooms. I have a student teacher right now that I'm getting to share WBT with as well. She's giving it a shot, and I can definitely tell a difference with student engagement when she utilizes the scoreboard and our student leaders with fidelity. My class is a little rowdy this year, so I'm trying to show her that if she changes her tone and level, they will change their tone and level. It's evident when I take over for a lesson or two the difference changing your tone and level can have on a classroom.
