TOPIC: Mega Conference SJ

Mega Conference SJ 3 years, 1 month ago #863

Great job yesterday. I too was wondering about how to get the cards with the rules on them or how to make them.
Thanks for your help,
Barbara

Are you talking about for the Power Detention? These are mine, the cards with the rules are on the second page - I laminate them and pass them out during detention.

Copies of Jay Vanderfin's Practice Cards for elementary students will be online in the next month or so ... and yes, what a wonderful time we had in San Jacinto!

I had a fantastic time on Saturday. I was so pumped up that I started "Whole Brain Teaching" today. Even though we have testing this week...I thought that introducing my 1st graders to in the afternoon would be a perfect end to a stressful day. And BOY did they love it. I am lucky to have a small class...so we were able to cover a lot of ground. We did the rules, class/yes, teach/ok, lines, pages, scoreboard and they just soaked it all up like sponges. Well all but one. Any suggestions for the one who even though he is only a 1st grader is to cool for "Whole Brain Teaching"? I would like to that Roxie for motivating me to be a better teacher. She was awesome!!! I would love to see more of the things she does in her classroom. Thanks for an amazing and FREE day. YOU ROCK!!!!
