I have done some of these strategies but am ready to take it on full force. Is it too late in year to really get into this? I already do class rules and some teach/okay. Thanks

Well, it sounds like you've already started! But if you want to add more, just tell them they're doing so well that "it's time to take it to the next level." Then introduce the ScoreBoard. I started much like you. In fact, I think it might be best to go slower - implement as little or as much as you like, but don't try to do it all at once. I'm in my second full year of using WBT and still adding components (this year I've developed PowerPix for my 9th grade Science content).

It is never too late to start. I first started using WBT last February with an 8th grade resource room class. Talk about a tough time of year to start new stuff! They bought into WBT (begrudgingly) and I have been going strong ever since. You can intro it to them by saying, "I usually do not do this until later in the year, but I feel you are ready to take on a new challenge". Try it. You never know until you do.

It really isn't ever too late. I started off the year with most of the techniques and my students totally rebelled. That's what they do. They have Emotional Disabilities. So I said, "Ok, we'll do it the old fashioned way," and went back to written notes and worksheets. They rebelled. I said, "Well, which would you rather do? This or WBT?" "WBT!" and I've had no complaints since.

Never too late. Always the right time.

Never! I was laid off and had to sub all last year. I used WBT EVERY DAY, IN EVERY CLASS I TAUGHT. Never had any behavior problems, and all in all it wasn't too bad of a year, considering!
