Oh, my heart!!! Today two of my students had a group of stuffed animals sitting in front of them and were teaching the rules to the animals!!! Then, they switched roles and were pretending to make the animals talk and do the gestures!!! Too cute! I think I may let each student choose an animal for a writing prompt, and they can write how that animal should behave in our classroom. Whoever thinks teaching rules is a drag needs to try WBT!

That is so adorable!! I love the stuffed animal idea/lesson on class behaviour! My class made WBT a full time centre with two or three scoreboards and a host of smilies and frownies!

I love how accessible WBT is to all ages. I teach 7th and 8th graders, and we have a class pet, Jeff the Spider, who sits over the corner of the whiteboard. Whenever I need to talk about something or direct a question and I don't want anyone on the spot, I ask Jeff. Since I'm a big kid I have stuffed animals all over the room...and sometimes my students will address them in their journal writings. I'm going to give your suggestion a try along the lines of learning the rules....mine might be a little older, but who can resist a cute teddy....especially one following WBT rules....
