What are the standards you wish you had a power pic for? I'm feeling like I have most that I need and will make sure I use the 5 step lesson plan for as much as possible but I'm curious if others feel their are missing power pics and if so what are they? Maybe we can work together to create new ones

I'm starting WBT with my First Grade class this year for the first time. I don't know if there are any power pics missing, however, I would like to see a picture of a Power Pix Wall. Do you have one? I'm trying to get a visual so I know what it should look like.

Thanks.

Friends,
We hear your pleas for pictures. I have asked several of the teachers who have signed up to be Model Classrooms this year to take pics or a 1 minute video tour of their room, so others can see what kind of creative set-ups can be done.
Hold on...help is on the way!

I will be back in my classroom next week setting up and will take a picture once I have my wall planned. My plan is to set up the wall with the Power Pics in plastic sleeves so they can hang on push pins. This way I can quickly hang the pics up or remove them and the sleeves will help them last without the cost of laminating. Also I want to know how much space I need, if I can fit them all or switch them out depending on our focus. There are a lot between math and language arts.

Deb, did you ever get the e mail of my pictures from last year? I knew they got messed up in the computer so I am am sorry. I won't be in classroom until after mid August but will get pictures first thing I do. Like we tell the kids with the scoreboard ---wait for it:-)

Annette,
I didn't get any of your pics. Perhaps Farrah did, as she has responsibility for K-3.
See you on August 20!

I was wondering about the powerpics and 2 topics. What if i need to teach both period and question mark at the same time. When teaching them using the 5 plan lesson should I teach them both together or one right after the other? For example teach the period using 5 lesson plan then teach question mark using 5 lesson plan. Or should I teach both period and question mark together " What is a period, what is a question mark?

I personally would teach them individually. THEN....once they are familiar with both concepts you will throw them both in for YES..No WAY!! Or QT test. WBT classroom model recommends that you introduce three power pics. SO they can follow each other quite easily!

Hope this helps!!
