My students have been working on designing their own community as a way to demonstrate their understanding of needs/wants and human/natural resources. Guess what one young student leader named her school? "Mrs. Weigel's Oh Yeah School"! (I must admit, I was quite flattered at this! LOL) When I asked her why she chose that name, she shared, "Because Mrs. Weigel loves it when we work hard and earn 'Oh Yeahs' every minute". My students know that I want them to succeed, and WBT engages and motivates them every minute!

Right on Deb! I'd send my kids to your school! I usually teach with my door open and I have had many students walking by peek in my class as we're learning. I have even had many kids come up to me and tell me that they wish they were in my class because it looks like fun! I also get that big smile from other teachers walking by. I'm sure glad that not only my students, but other students and people passing by see learning as fun, because it can be!
