I do not have access to a color printer, so I've been checking to see how much it will cost to print the power pix. It looks like at the minimum it will cost around $30 for just the math pix.

Does anyone else have any hints or know of a better deal? Maybe someone will have a back to school printing sale.

Just my suggestion,

I found that in the long run if you go through the power pix...some of them are repeated in the grades! Therefore, you could go through and just print the ones that you are going to teach (without duplicating just because they are in all the grade levels!)... I did this at first..

Then I found that I wanted them all because they were learning so fast that I could teach some concepts that I might not have taught in previous years...My husband and I invested in a color laser printer (since I am going to be a teacher for a while, as well as our ministry) and overall the ink hasn't been outrageous. It will eventually pay for itself especially since you may have to make your own power pix for concepts not included in the grade level sets!

I'd definitely invest in a color printer. I got one last year and it was only $30.00 at Target! It's come in handy SO often! If you decide to print at Office Depot or Office Max, they usually run teacher sales for printing beginning in August.

I remembered that there is a color printer under my desk that I've never used! Time to go buy some refurb ink cartridges online...

The ink came in the mail today and my husband took about an hour cleaning the printer and getting it back into working order. It took a few tries to get the right settings, and now my Power Pix are printing! I'm getting excited!
