TOPIC: substitutes

substitutes 9 months, 1 week ago #7441

How does a teacher, while using WBT, deal with a substitute teacher coming in and "throwing off" the kids for a time?

tallerteacher,

Deb Weigel, Co-Director of WBT Model Classrooms, posted her Substitute "cheat sheet" on another forum. I am attaching the link for you here, so you can peruse that forum thread!

I hope this helps.

Along with the sub sheet, you can also use your class leaders to help the sub. My first grade leaders could pretty much run the class, then point to the sub to teach!!!
When your students know the routines, a sub day does not need to become total chaos. Can you get excited about that! I sure can!!!
