I attended the Chris Biffle seminar in Missori last Tues day. It was awesome. I learned that the score board is an important aspect of motivating the students. For 6th grade, I think this technique needs to be implemented in the first two weeks of school, while you can still get the students on board.

I can't believe I missed an opportunity to attend a workshop in Missouri. I teach in Springfield and am trying to find other WBT teachers in MO. What district are you with?

I am with the U-46 school district in Elgin about 40 miles west of Chicago. Another teacher and I drove 7 hrs to the seminar. It was great.Chris Biffle has great ideas on how to get the class involved in the learning and he makes it fun for the students. It sure beats them having to listen for 30 minutes straight.

BTW, Chris said that the state that gets discussions on this forum going the most is going to have him come and give his free seminars. I hope you understand this correctly- he will come to Illinois for a free seminar. Give me a Ohh Ahhh!
