Hi-

I am a 6th year teacher in California. One reason I became a teacher was so that I can keep learning and not just sit behind a desk and do the same thing everyday. I am so excited to try this out next year. I am teaching a 4/5 combo. Any suggestions on how to get started would be wonderful.

Hi Karen,
If you can, I HIGHLY recommend attending a conference. They are AMAZING! Watch all of the videos and read all of the free downloads. I'm a high school math teacher, so Day 1 activities are a little different for me, but I start with "Class-Yes," "Teach-Okay," the rules (using gestures) and I introduce the scoreboard. WBT really does make teaching more exciting for both the students and the teacher. Happy summer to you too!
