I just came upon WBT while I was researching some ideas for classroom management. I have not attended a conference, but am really excited about the videos I have seen and what I have read. We have had school for 3 days and my kids love class - yes. I am having some trouble with teach - OK. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I teach kindergarten and would like some ideas on how to "teach" this method to my kids. I am just not sure on how to divide the kids to teach to one another. I have tried assigning numbers 1, 2 - but that is not working.

Thanks to anyone who has suggestions for me. I would love to learn alot more about WBT. I live in KY and had never heard of this before. I wish I could attend a conference.

you've only been in class for 3 days- enjoy the class/yes. I enjoyed the focus power of hands and eyes next. Teach ok for kdg has to be modeled modeled modeled. Understanding what gestures are is a lesson in itself. Who their share buddy is- another minilesson. Who speaks first (the tall one, one longer hair...)- another minilesson. Teach with small chunks of info each day- like A rule (one a day not all 5 at once) with modeling- practice non-examples as well. Practice the same rule several times throughout the day. Keep with it, but make it managable for you and your class. Good Luck jh
