I am the coordinator for Hemet USD's ( California ) After School Program and we decided to bring Whole Brain Teaching into our 19 sites as our classified employees needed assistance with behavior management and getting students engaged. Chris Biffle and I met many times and solicited buy in from our 19 site leaders prior to deciding WBT wqas the tool to train our people on. Chris only agreed if I would particpate in trainings and model as I go to sites. I skeptically agreed. We have had 8 hours of training with our 125 employees and it has made such a difference. Experienced After School personnel can not how fast the behavior has changd in their classes...and yes I am now the model of class/yes..teach/ok and ..mirror..and etc... I cant wait for our next training in January

I'm so glad it's working out so well, and spreading so fast! Alot of it is due to the staff you have-- they are amazing! Positive, brave enough to step out there and do it, and dedicated to making it work. During the trainings, I was so impressed with their professionalism and creativity. It's really informative to see this unfold in an after-school program, so we can begin to demonstrate that this works in all venues, not just your standard classroom.
