hello,

My name is Heather and I recently finished my student teaching. I am a substitute teacher in Alaska until I can get a permanent position. I am also a graduate student working on my Masters of Arts in Teaching. Part of my graduate work is to conduct a practice research study. I am doing this with two classmates of mine. We are very excited about WBT and have used aspects of it in our subbing.

Our area of struggle is finding sources, references, articles, etc on WBT. part of our study needs to include a literature review on WBT. Does anyone know where we might find some literature other than this site? Does Mr. Biffle have a book or have any educational magazines done a review of WBT?

Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

Heather

There is a book and it is downloadable from the website called "Teaching Challenging Students". Start there. If I come across anything else I will let you know. If you cannot find anything, try using articles that research using multiple modalities or multiple intelligences. Although these are not specifically WBT, they are the same subject area.

Hi! I am doing this same project and literature review for WBT and brain rules by John Medina. He a developmental molecular biologist that is funny as well as insightful. I am comparing what WBT does and how it fits what John Medina has written we need to be doing to help kids retain more information. I am just starting the project so would be interested in getting together to discuss the project.
