Hi, I am Maloy Strickland. I heard about WBT earlier this school year; but, I hadn't gone to this site until yesterday. I am excited about starting next year with WBT. I tried something different this year concerning classroom mangagement hoping to get a better handle on things; but, without the success I wanted. My new method worked for a short period of time, but didn't get long term results. I like what I'm reading on this site about changing up strategies during the year; and about dealing with rebellious students! I will let you know how things work out next year.

Hey Music Room--if you're not out of school yet, don't wait until next year to begin implementing the strategies! Start watching all the videos on the WBT website and downloading all the free goodies. You might want to begin with the 5 rules and the class-yes. As soon as you can, practice micro-teaching (teaching in 30-60 second intervals). By shaking things up in your classroom, you'll get and better keep the attention of your students. Don't give up!
