Hi everyone! I've been teaching for 12 years and hold National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist as well as a Master's degree in Educational Technology.

Whole Brain Teaching techniques are one of the greatest things I have added to my repetoire. This year I saw a gain of about 54% proficiency over last year's science test scores. I am convinced that WBT techniques gave us an edge. Our students take benchmark tests quarterly. In the very first quarter, I saw a gain of 23 points on last year's scores. Those gains were maintained throughout the year and yielded a huge jump on end-of-grade test scores with 10 students achieving a level 4 and 10 achieving a level 3. Of the 6 students who did not pass, 2 of them were within 1 point and 2 others were within 4 points of passing.

I have recently interviewed for a position as lead curriculum specialist for science grades k-5 in our district. If I am offered this position I will have the unique opportunity of sharing techniques that work with hundreds of teachers in our district.

If you haven't guessed, I am impressed with WBT. It has definitely helped me to refine and standardize some of the things I was already doing, enabling me to do them much much better.
