I teach Kindergarten in Texas. My campus has a small Kindergarten special education class. My room is the inclusion room for those students. Their disabilities vary across the spectrum. Whole Brain teaching works fabulous. These students are engaged and they are active. Most Kindergarteners benefit from shorter class lessons. Whole Brain teaching lessons that are taught are more specific. The students are moving(using the gestures), they are talking(when teaching their classmates), Listening (a very important skill), focused (with Hands and Eyes) and are now able to lead the class in the 5 rules, which are practiced when mistakes are made and several other times throughout the day. I get feedback regularly, when I have visitors in my room, on how well Whole Brain Teaching is working. Often times, they do not know who the Special Education students are. They are all POWER LEARNERS!
