I have introduced myself on here before, but this time I am excited to introduce myself as a WBT intern for the upcoming school year! I am a special education teacher for 3rd and 4th grade learning support as well as district wide hearing support. I have been teaching for 19 years and was very excited to have found WBT. I began implementing the method last year. It was challenging and a lot of work, but well worth the effort. The students love it.

Since it is summer break, I will not have any new classroom experience to share; however, I will be reading through the forum and posting. I also plan to update my blog. If I can get my own children to cooperate, I may post a video or two of myself using some WBT techniques with them. Please check back often. I look forward to talking with and meeting many of you over the course of the next year.

Hello Ladies!

It looks like I will be joining you all as a 2011-12 WBT Intern! I teach 2nd grade in Wylie, Texas (near Dallas). Before I found WBT I didn't know how long I'd last in teaching, but now I feel like I have the tools to make it a lifelong career. I can't wait to read all of the blogs and hopefully meet some of you at conferences.

Hi Rebecca,

It's nice to hear from you. I am also a WBT Intern for 2011-12. I have been in education 24 years and am currently teaching reading to small groups K-5. I teach at Millersville Attendance Center and West Lane Elementary in Missouri. I happen to have the privilege of teaching with Staci Glass who is also an intern this year. It is nice to have this thread going to have the opportunity to hear from other interns; find out where they're from, what they teach, and how WBT is working for them. Not attending the conference in Phoenix...bummer! I've been to two other conferences this summer, but I learn more every time I go. You'll have a blast. Make sure you let us know what you come away with! Maybe we'll be able to meet up at a conference soon!
