TOPIC: Class-yes with phonics twist

Class-yes with phonics twist 2 years, 6 months ago #2820

We have been using the class-yes with good success in Kindergarten. We tried a new twist and incorporated beginning sounds and rhyming. For example, instead of saying "Class, Class: yes, yes" I say "class bass" and the students say "yes bess" or I say "Classity Bassity" and the students reply "yessity bessity." I use a variety of different beginning sounds with whatever variation of "class" that I want to use.

That is a wonderful idea! You could do so many different things with class yes. It's really neat to see the other teachers in my school adopting it as well. Thanks for sharing!
