TOPIC: St. James Workshop

St. James Workshop 2 years, 10 months ago #1454

I attended the workshop also - It was probably the best workshop I have ever experienced! I especially like all the practice that we were given. I feel ready to begin teaching the attention getter and the rules on my first day back - which is next Thursday, since my school is on a year-round cycle. I look forward to sharing my experiences and getting support this coming school year!

I also attended the confrence in St. James. I teach in the St. James School District and I absolutely love whole brain teaching. We started using it in our classrooms last year and after attending the conference, I have so much to use in my classroom in the future!

I attended the St. James Workshop too! Wonderful! I was having some problems with my classroom management last year. Then I found the Whole Brain Teaching site. I watched the videos, read the articles on the site, and by the end of the first week, I could feel, see, and hear the differences in my classroom, and in the hallway! My co-workers also saw the differences in my classroom. When I found out that St. James was hosting WBT, I signed up and got some other teachers to do the same! Thank you!

I was at the St. James Conference as well. We traveled from Illinois because I found this awesome website last year after googling "How to teach 6th grade"! I used some of Chris's ideas and they worked, so I'm excited to feel like I have a much better idea of ways to implement them for this next year. It was definitely worth the trip! Thanks, Chris and thanks, St. James!

I thought the seminar was very cool. I kinda expected to be movin around a bit for an all day conference however, I was sweating by lunch. Lots of fun! This will be my inaugural full year of WBT. As an ADHD boy myself, I like the energy included here

I also attended the St. James Workshop. It was one of the most energized and inspirational trainings that I attended. I'm anxious to get back to school in order to implement the things that I learned. I guess I'm more excited than I thought because last night I had a dream that I was practicing my Whole Brain Teaching script and signature "Teach" move in front of a class full of kids.

The St. James and RPDC staff are estatic about the response from the WBT workshop in STJ. We are addicted and working to have Chris and his team back next summer. Please continue to share what you have learned on the forum and within your classroom. I believe others will catch the WBT fever when they see how successful you are!

Our 2nd grade team attended the St. James workshop (we are from Bourbon, Mo)...just down the road from St. James. Thank you St. James school and RPDC for hosting this seminar! It was a great workshop and I know we all gained a vast amount of knowledge and ideas from it. I am very eager to implement it in my classroom! Thank you also to Mr. Biffle for providing us with this knowledge to improve our classroom atmospheres, structures and learning experiences. I know my students will benefit greatly!
