I'd like to share an extension of class leadership. I made a leader pocket chart,in it I placed cards with different WBT directions for the leaders to use. Then on the back I placed one minute party cards which are placed backward so they can't see the writing.

When the leaders give directions they choose a card, this cuts down on me telling them and the long hum..... time. For every 10 smilies we choose a party card.

Party cards what a great idea! what type of things do you have on the party cards?

The party cards are in a two sided pocket chart. They have things like:
One minute song choice
One minute free draw in your writers journal
One min. Jokes
One minute free chit chat with a friend
One minute mind soccer
One mmiute greater than less than game or guess my number
One minute read a rhyme. . .and on it can go

On the other side of the card is a big question mark the leaders get to choose.
