Hey Just found this info and am excited to try it. I teach K-5 ESL in Jefferson City, TN. I hope to incorporate it in an inclusion class I'm starting next year. Let me know if you've seen any success with your ELL's!

Success with ELLs... Power Teaching is everything we're told works with ELs! TONS of speaking and listening practice, non-linguistic representation, and (I can't think of the "academic term" for this but I know it's taught as a beneficial thing for ELs..) predictable routines and signals. I have never had as much success with ELs as I have with Power Teaching. In fact, I can even show you DATA (yeah!!! We looooove data....) If you go to my website, www.jackiepedersen.com, and click on my Online Portfolio, click on the tab that says "results". The graphs that you will see are how my students improved when I started using Industrial Strength Power Teaching, and all of my students are at-risk ELs....double-whammy! Most of mine are CELDT 3s.

Enjoy!

Thanks! When I saw this program, as an ESL teacher, I jumped for joy! I will definitely check out your data. I was hoping to find some stats to use to sell my mainstream teachers on checking into PT.

Thanks again

Be sure to check out the link that also shows how the students compared to the rest of the school... and remember... those students are at-risk (intervention) EL level 3s...major selling point. (It seems weird and braggy that I have those things on a website, but I am currently looking for a teaching position out of state, and trying to put an edge in my application by having this online portfolio...that's the only reason. But now I'm realizing it can help Power Teachers, too!)
