7. How did you learn about Whole Brain Teaching? After my maternity leave I came back to students that I could barely control, I searched strategies for difficult students, and WBT videos popped up! I printed the books and started the next day - a few months later Texas Whole Brain Teachers was born.

8. Favorite Whole Brain Teaching strategy: Gestures and Teach/Okay, I don't know how I taught without it!

9. Anything else we should know about you? I am the mother of a little boy named Brayden, and the Director of Texas Whole Brain Teachers

7. How did you learn about Whole Brain Teaching? My Team Partner. She came in to school on a Monday and asked me to check out a video she had seen on Teacher Tube...The rest is history!

I work at a Technology Magnet school and love teaching 5-6 year olds. They are amazing!

I rarely look at topics on U-Tube, but one day was looking at different teaching videos on there and the Kindergarten video came up and I was completely BLOWN AWAY!! Since then (6 months ago) I have watched and read everything I can about WBT. I also went to the seminar this past weekend and found it to be very educational and inspiring

9. Anything else we should know about you? I am so excited to start my first year off as a 'Whole Brain Teacher' and I can't wait to begin. Currently, I am looking for a teaching position in the Austin and Dallas surrounding areas. If anyone knows of any teaching openings in these areas please let me know!!

Have you started watching the videos? Chris does a great job of telling you how to get started, I also suggest looking through the books - then watch the videos again. The best way to get started is to commit, to trying and start the first day of school, with the basics.

I used the scoreboard last year with a challenging class to earn 10 minutes of game day on Fridays...one student wrote on year-end eval. that he liked earning it because it was like the real world...you earn priviledges!
