I don't know about anyone else, but in our area there is a local universtiy, so we have students studying to be teachers that come into our classroom. I have found that Whole Brain Teaching is a great resource to share with these students. My block student this semester has used the PowerPix in lessons to help review previously taught skills and has even introduced new skills with the PowerPix. Her professor came into observe her and loved her style of teaching, which was WBT. He's been asking questions about WBT and how he can apply it in his own college classroom! I think this is a great avenue to get WBT out there, especially to get soon to be new teachers on board with an effective way to manage and teach a classroom. Of course I'm excited about WBT, so I share it with anyone who will listen. This is just a thought to share the site and the resources that are available with new teachers and students studying to be teachers. In my opinion it will make those first years run more smoothly and even years after that run much more smoothly and be a lot more fun! So, all that being said, I thought I would throw it out there to share with newer teachers in your buildings or if you have students coming into your rooms, share it with them! It's been amazing how many teachers are now trying WBT after seeing its effectiveness in my room this year!
