We have Smartboards in all our classrooms this year! I was able to change the background to a soccerfield and imported a picture of a soccer ball. Using the drag option, I am able to move the ball down the field. My students are loving this game. We played for the first time on Friday and when they came back to school yesterday, I already had students asking me when we would play again. The Smartboard doesn't change anything about the game, the students just love the visual and it gets them excited! I thought maybe some other tech savvy WBT would like this.

I love that idea!! Will try it tomorrow. I teach first grade/grade 1 and I have been playing mind soccer this week and the kids love it. I have really simplified it for me and the kids. We can play it anywhere at any time as long as I have the "Easy Button".

I have class divided into two teams (each team has their own cheer). I choose one student from each team to come to the front and stand with their hands behind their backs with the easy button on a desk between them. I ask the question and the first person to hit the "Easy Button" gets a chance to answer the question. If they take too long, the other contestant gets a chance to steal. If they can't get it then the whole class can give out the answer (no points for this). Each correct answer is worth 1 point.

We've been playing mind soccer in my classroom at the very end of the day if my 3rd grade students beat me in the scoreboard game. Another way you can have the captains or other members of your class face off is with one of the lights that you can place anywhere, that when you touch them, they light up. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, my kids won today, and we played mind soccer reviewing our multiplication facts! It's really a great review and they beg for it.

I don't have a Smart Board, but I wonder if I could pull it up on my large screen and use my interwrite. Right now, I've been doing it with a good old blackboard and chalk. I do have a little magnetic soccer ball that I move across the field though!
